Waxing OR Shaving?

There are many benefits to waxing, hairs will grow back slower and appear softer and finer. Shaving is a great quick fix option for the girl on the go that may not have time to get into the salon for a wax, but hairs will come back prickly, darker and more course. I would highly recommend waxing over shaving, yes it’s more expensive and a little painful but the hassle of not having to shave every other day and the long term results are well worth it!

Benefits to waxing;·        Slower regrowth as it pulls hair from to root.
·        Lasts a lot longer than shaving- you can leave 4-6 weeks in between your waxing appointments.
·        Skin is left feeling soft and smooth for weeks- no prickly, itchy feeling like shaving.
·        If you wax regularly it will eventually reduce hair growth.

Always make sure you go to a recommended salon for waxing and book in with an experienced therapist, the first wax is always the worst so never be put off it will get better! The more you wax the less painful it becomes as the hairs start to weaken and get used to be pulled out from to root. Never be tempted to shave in between your waxing appointments as this will be undoing all your hard work and you will be back to square one!

For best results hairs need to be at least half a centimeter in length and the majority of clients come every 4-6 weeks for their waxing appointments.  I would highly recommend Hot Wax for more sensitive areas such as underarms and bikini this method takes a little more time to do but doesn't pull this skin so much and is far less painful!
